1. How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions will depend on the support you need and the goals you are hoping to work towards. Therapy can be complex and can take time. My recommendation would be to be patient with yourself and take it one day at a time. The therapeutic journey is as important as the destination itself and rushing to it or forcing yourself to get there in a pre-determined number of sessions can be counter productive. Each individual is unique and needs to move through their journey at a pace comfortable to themselves.
2. How long does each session last?
Generally, most sessions last up to an hour. However, if you are booking in for couples therapy a 90 minute option is available to give each person a comfortable amount of time to share their experiences or situations.
3. What does the first session involve?
The first session usually tends to focus on building a relationship, discussing the reasons for you to seek therapy, goal setting, and us discussing your expectations from therapy.
4. How do I make payments for sessions?
A payment link would be sent to your email account when you select a date and time for your session. Once the payment is processed your appointment will be confirmed.
5. Why is payment taken before the service?
As counselling is a highly demanded service, a payment is needed to book your slot. Further, collecting payments prior to the session makes the experience simple and straightforward.
6. What if I need to cancel a session or reschedule?
Due to the nature of the services being provided, Harmony Sutra requires 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of appointment time you are liable to pay 50% of the fee and the balance will be refunded. If you do not show for your appointment, you will not be liable for a refund. This is a result of therapist preparation, as well as client waiting list.
7. Which website or app is used to conduct online sessions?
A Microsoft Teams link will be emailed to you during the time of booking. This website is a confidential and secure platform to conduct therapy. Please know that you will be required to download Microsoft Teams on to your device prior to your session.
8. What do I need to prepare for before a session?
Well, one thing to consider might be finding yourself a space that is uninterrupted, confidential, and quiet as you will be sharing a lot of personal information. One may want to carefully consider the time you would want to book a session, in case you live in a busy or large household.
